McPhee ready to up the tempo at Mugello

British Talent Team looking to take it up a notch in the Italian GP

British Talent Team rider John McPhee fought back hard in the French GP from a qualifying position of 25th, and the Scotsman made it up into an impressive P12 despite the shortened race distance.

The next stop on the MotoGP™ world tour is Mugello for the Italian GP, with McPhee looking to get back at the business end and into the fight at the front following his two podiums to begin the year.

The venue - the spectacular Autodromo del Mugello - is a 5.2km high speed stage set in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. There are 6 left handers and nine right, with the longest straight measuring up at 1141m. For the slipstreamers of Moto3™, Mugello always puts on an amazing show.

In the top five in the Championship and raring to race, the British Talent Team will be pushing for more points in the #ItalianGP as the grid get out on track at 9:00 (GMT +2) on Friday for FP1, with the Moto3™ race set for 11:00 local time on Sunday.

John McPhee: "We got more points on the board in France and that was important. I think the fight back through the field was good considering where we started, and then we stayed another day to test at Le Mans. The test was really positive and I think we're more than ready for Mugello - I'm looking forward to racing again, and looking forward to getting back to the front. Mugello is amazing track, and hopefully the weather will be more consistent."
