Pasini: “This is confirmation of the good job we’re doing”

Mattia Pasini (Italtrans Racing Team) followed up his stunning victory at the Autodromo del Mugello in style at the Catalan GP, taking another podium in second behind an unstoppable Alex Marquez (EG 0,0 Marc VDS). Pasini says the result is confirmation of what they achieved in Mugello – and that it comes from a huge amount of work that began last season and continues on.

Mattia Pasini, P2: “It’s amazing, we’re so strong at the moment, the bike is working so well. Today I hoped to do a great race. I chose the hard tyre because like Marquez and Lüthi I’m a bit on the limit. Then in the first five or six laps I took too much but it was fantastic, Tom pushed me every lap. And to be here today after Mugello it’s confirmation of the good job we’re doing and I need to thank my team and guys because we’ve done a lot of work, and hard work. The key is work, this is a project that started last year and we knew we needed time to arrive and adapt but it’s the result of so much work on every side - physical and mental, on the bike and with the team. Now we’re here and we need to continue like this fighting every Sunday for the top five, for the podium – and maybe for the win sometimes.”
