Ahead of the Dutch GP there was a race of a different kind on Thursday, as Bruno Senna accepted Johann Zarco’s (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) challenge to pitch his McLaren GT3 against the Yamaha M1 of the Frenchman around the TT Circuit Assen. Two wheels vs four, France vs Brazil...
Starting with some friendly Scalextric rivalry to get warmed up, the fire was then fuelled and it was time to take the battle to the track. Following a photo opportunity on the Main Straight at the circuit to mark the moment, the stage was set for the visors to go down and the lights to go out.
Senna, a former F1 driver and now factory McLaren GT competitor, lined up his four wheels against Zarco’s two before they headed off around the track, with some kudos waiting at the finish line for the winner.
So who took the victory? Watch and find out!
