Tom Lüthi (CarXpert Interwetten) topped Moto2™ FP1 at the TT Circuit Assen, ahead of 2016 winner Takaaki Nakagami (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia) and a late lap from Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Ajo).
One high profile crasher was Alex Marquez (EG 0,0 Marc VDS), as the Catalunya winner lost it into the final chicane after a red sector – rider ok – and then pushed his bike back up pitlane.
