It wasn't the top ten result at the German GP that Jack Miller (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) has been honing in on - and achieving - all year, but the Australian crossed the line in the points once again to take P15 after some rear grip issues.
After a solid start to the season with a good haul of points accrued so far - 41 by the half way point - Miller is looking to use the summer break to come back stronger in the latter half of the season, and will also be taking part in the Suzuka 8 Hours endurance race before the next round of MotoGP™ at Brno.
Jack Miller, P15: “The front tyre was fine for the race distance but the rear was a different matter, it just didn’t work the way I expected it to after practice. The tyre was spinning on both sides from the start and three laps into the race it felt like it had already done the 30-lap race distance. And with so many left hand turns with 10 laps to go I was pretty much out of grip, it was a strange feeling. I was expecting a really strong race here so this is a disappointing result but I go to the summer break determined to return with a strong finish to the season.”
