Yurchenko to bring Kazakhstan onto the world stage in 2018

FIM CEV Repsol Moto3™ Junior World Championship rider will move into Moto3™ next season with CIP

Kazakhstani rider Makar Yurchenko will be lining up in Moto3™ next season with the CIP team on a KTM, having recently taken his second podium of the season last time out in the FIM CEV Repsol Moto3™ Junior World Championship at Jerez. This weekend Yurchenko is back on track in the same at MotorLand Aragon as he continues his ascent since debuting internationally in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup in 2014.

Makar Yurchenko: “Definitely, participation in the Moto3 World Championship is a new stage in my career. We were approaching this goal with my team for three long years and I’m very proud that we managed to get it. Of course, there is still a lot of work ahead – it is necessary to complete this current season in FIM Junior Moto3 as good as possible, so there is no time to relax. In the midseason, we will train at times more than before, adjust mentally to the Moto3 race battles, as the World Championship battles are well-known. That is why, we have lots of things to finish by the beginning of the next year! And there already comes February – the first official Moto3 tests and the first race in Qatar! Thanks to Sokol Racetrack – without its support, I could not show myself in the world motorcycle sport and open my potential! I’m very proud of them and very happy to please Sokol Racetrack with my trophies, as well as everyone who supports me!”

Alain Bronec, Team Manager: “We’re very happy to be able to announce the arrival of Makar Yurchenko to CIP for the 2018 season. As demonstrated by his podium at Jerez, Yurchenko is one of the principal protagonists in the Moto3 Junior World Championship, a hotly contested Championship that has discovered many talents. CIP is used to taking on young riders in the making and we will make every effort to make sure Makar gets up to speed as soon as possible. We are already looking forward to writing this page of CIP's history alongside KTM, with whom we hope we will be able to make a big success of this thanks to Makar. Our goal has always been to allow a new generation to take their first steps on the global stage and we are confident that we will have a great adventure together next season.”
