Moto2™ FP3: Bagnaia leads Marquez into qualifying

The Championship leader remains the man to beat, with Marquez his closest challenger

Francesco Bagnaia (SKY Racing Team VR46) topped the Moto2™ FP3 session at the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya by 0.382 seconds to remain the man to beat heading into qualifying. Last year’s race winner Alex Marquez (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) was second fastest, with Marcel Schroetter the only other man to break into the 1:43 bracket in third.

Romano Fenati (Marnelli Snipers Team) is the fastest rookie so far this weekend, his 1:44.058 puts him fourth overall, with Lorenzo Baldassarri (Pons HP40) rounding out the top five.

Nikki Tuuli (SIC Racing Team), Dimas Ekky Pratama (Astra Honda Racing Team) and Joe Roberts (NTS RW Racing GP) crashed in the session, riders ok, with Stefano Manzi (Forward Racing Team) going down twice – rider ok.

One second covers the top 20 in the intermediate class, with qualifying looking like it could be a fantastic session. Tune in as the Moto2™ riders do battle for pole at 15:05 local time.
