Jorge Lorenzo’s (Ducati Team) hopes of a Gran Premio Movistar de Aragon win ended in disaster after the polesitter suffered a nasty highside on the exit of Turn 1 on the opening lap.

This resulted in the Spaniard sustaining a dislocated first toe on his right foot, as well as fracturing the second metatarsal bone, giving Lorenzo a fitness headache ahead of Thailand as he left the circuit in a cast:
“They will change the cast tomorrow and they said I will have ten days with that one, then we’ll see how the fracture develops.”
