Time schedule: Motul Grand Prix of Japan

The Twin Ring Motegi circuit plays host to Round 16 of the 2018 MotoGP™ World Championship, and what a weekend it could be for Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) who gets his first chance to clinch his seventh title.

So, it’s time to set your alarm clocks if you’re on the western side of the world as track action gets underway at 09:00 local time (GMT +9) for Moto3™ FP1, 01:00 BST, with the MotoGP™ riders hitting the track for the first time at 09:55 local time (01:55 BST). Moto2™ FP1 follows at 10:55 local time, before Friday afternoon commences at 13:10 local time (05:10 BST), with MotoGP™ FP2 starting at 14:05 (06:05 BST).

The premier class get their last chance to grab an automatic Q2 place in FP3 at 09:55 local time (01:55 BST), with the all-important qualifying sessions going green at 12:35 local time (04:35 BST), starting with the Moto3™ class. Tune in to watch MotoGP™ qualifying at 14:10 local time (06:10 BST), with Moto2™ battling for pole position at 15:05 (07:05 BST).

Race day could see the first Champion be crowned, so it’s one you don’t want to miss! Moto3™ get going at 11:00 local time (03:00 BST), followed by Moto2™ at 12:20 (04:20 BST) and then the big one: MotoGP™ - kick off at 14:00 local time (06:00 BST).
