It was Stefano Nepa (CIP – Green Power) who caused the red flags to be shown with 33 minutes of the session remaining, a problem with his bike meant the Italian unintentionally dropped oil between Turns 1 – 8. After a major cleanup operation, action got back underway around two hours later, with the session being reduced to 30 minutes. Tony Arbolino (Marinelli Snipers Team) was fourth fastest, with John McPhee (CIP – Green Power) completing the top five.

Title contender Marco Bezzecchi (Redox PruestelGP) suffered two crashes in the morning session. One before the red flags came out at Turn 4 and another at Turn 2 after running on at Turn 1 – rider ok, P9 for the Italian on the timesheets.

With the delays, make sure you check out the updated time schedule for Friday’s track action.
