Reigning World Champion put on a show during RB Leipzig's German Bundesliga game against Bayern Munich on Saturday

Leipzig, Germany, May 11th, 2019: Less than two months before the HJC Helmets Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland (July 5th to 7th, 2019) at Sachsenring, Germany, the fans in Saxony already got a taste of MotoGP™ air. On Saturday, May 11th, MotoGP™ World Champion Marc Marquez came to Leipzig with his Honda RC213V to inspire the fans for the upcoming race on the cult track near Chemnitz before the Bundesliga match RB Leipzig against FC Bayern Munich.

RB Leipzig hosted German record champion FC Bayern Munich in their home arena on the penultimate Bundesliga matchday. A really exciting match although it ended 0:0. But an outstanding highlight happened before the kick-off: Marquez did a demo round in front of 43,000 spectators in the Red Bull Arena. Then, the MotoGP™ World Champion answered questions from Leipzig’s public address announcer Tim Thoelke as well as Honda test rider and ServusTV expert Stefan Bradl. “It’s the first time I’ve done a show run in a football stadium in Germany at such an important match, RB Leipzig against FC Bayern Munich. I’m looking forward to the race at Sachsenring at the beginning of July. It’s one of the most difficult tracks in the MotoGP™ world but the atmosphere is exceptional!”, Marc Marquez said.
