Espargaro and Pedrosa start two-day test in Austria

For the first time in three months, MotoGP™ bikes are back on track!

For the first time in three months, MotoGP™ bikes are back on track. Premier class machines have not turned a wheel in anger since the Qatar Test concluded back in late February, but now the wait is over. Red Bull KTM Factory Racing have today started a two-day test at the Red Bull Ring in Austria, as preparations for a possible start of the MotoGP™ season at the Circuito de Jerez - Angel Nieto in July begin.

MotoGP™ World Championship competitor Pol Espargaro has been joined at the circuit by MotoGP™ Legend and KTM Test rider Dani Pedrosa as the pair continue development work on the KTM RC16. Rookie Brad Binder won't be in attendance at the two-day test due to lockdown restrictions in his native South Africa.

Espargaro and Pedrosa getting back out on track follows Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP's Valentino Rossi enjoying a day at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli last week and Team Ecstar Suzuki's Alex Rins having the afternoon at the Circuit de Barcelona - Catalunya. However, today marks the first day since February 24th that MotoGP™ bikes have been back out on track.
