Nakagami leads Quartararo in FP4, Marc Marquez 16th

The Japanese rider tops his second session of the weekend as the eight-time Champion completes 10 laps ahead of qualifying

Takaaki Nakagami (LCR Honda Idemitsu) topped FP4 thanks to a 1:37.514 at the Gran Premio Red Bull de Andalucia, with Fabio Quartararo (Petronas Yamaha SRT) 0.165 off the Japanese rider in second. Pol Espargaro (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) finished P3 ahead of qualifying, with his future teammate Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) finishing 16th in FP4.

Repsol Honda Team Manager Alberto Puig said FP4 would be a session to see “if he can do 6/7 laps in a row,” and the number 93 completed seven laps on the spin – 10 overall – to eventually finish 0.999 off Nakagami’s time. Maverick Viñales (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) and Franco Morbidelli (Petronas Yamaha SRT) completed the top five.
