In a little over a week, MotoE™ will make its comeback alongside MotoGP™ in Misano. It has been over a month since its racers have seen any action, with Jerez the most recent date in the calendar; a round that had us gripped to the action, particularly with the collision between Eric Granado (Avintia Esponsorama Racing) and Matteo Ferrari (Trentino Gresini MotoE) with two laps to go. The two favorites for the title were in a fight for the podium at the time. So on the eve of this third round, where are we in the standings? motogp.com will bring you up to date!
Against all odds, it’s a "rookie" who leads the standings, with MotoE™ rookie but two-wheeled wealth of experience Dominique Aegerter (Dynavolt Intact GP). The Swiss rider, who has experience in ten full seasons of Moto2™ and three more in 125cc, hasn’t taken long to adapt to the Energica Ego Corsa, as evidenced by a podium finish registered in Andalusia... which was followed up with a victory. Those results put him eleven points ahead of another rookie, a certain Jordi Torres (Pons Racing 40). The number 40 - formerly a race winner in both Moto2™ and WorldSBK - claimed a rostrum spot in the second race in Jerez; taking advantage of an incident between Eric Granado and, the winner of the 2019 edition, Matteo Ferrari.

Eric Granado, who had been ultra-dominant over the first weekend, was pushed back to third place. The Brazilian, the victim of a braking mishap from his opponent, is exactly 13 points behind. Mattia Casadei (Ongetta SIC58 Squadra Corse) is right on his heels though, one point off Granado.
Rookie Lukas Tulovic (Tech3 E-Racing), meanwhile, also made a good start to this FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup career, so much so that the German, never finishing lower than sixth place, is ahead of reigning Cup winner Matteo Ferrari. Frenchman Mike Di Meglio (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) is close too, in seventh place. Josh Hook (Octo Pramac MotoE), Xavier Siméon (LCR E-Team) and his teammate Niccolò Canepa (LCR E-Team) complete the current top 10.
