Despite an early crash, Iker Lecuona (Tech3 KTM Factory Racing) topped MotoGP™ FP4 at the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell'Emilia-Romagna as the riders ventured out on slicks tyres on a drying Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) was second, 0.094s down on Lecuona’s 1:37.441, with fellow Ducati Lenovo Team rider Jack Miller third.

In treacherous conditions, a lot of riders crashed unhurt. Enea Bastianini (Avintia Esponsorama) went down twice ahead of qualifying, with Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team), Michele Pirro (Ducati Lenovo Team), reigning World Champion Joan Mir (Team Suzuki Ecstar), Jorge Martin (Pramac Racing) and Alex Marquez (LCR Honda Castrol) also crashing in FP4.
