Miller: “This test was really important”

Confidence continues to grow for Jack Miller after three straight top tens and a successful test in Austria.

Perfect weather at the Red Bull Ring gave the MotoGP™ World Championship teams testing there two very productive days. Jack Miller (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS) was able to learn the circuit on his RC213V, having only previously ridden there on a 125cc machine in the German Championship. Not only was Miller able to learn the track, but also catch up on testing he had missed during the start of the season with his leg injury. 151 laps across the two days gave he and the team ample time to experiment with different settings.

Miller also had time for a haircut between sessions.

Jack Miller: “The track here is good and I've really enjoyed riding it the last two days. This test was really important for us after missing so many tests at the start of the season. It was great just to get a whole heap of dry laps in where I could just go out and ride the bike, which I really enjoyed. It was a lot of fun. Yesterday we managed to make some improvements with the set up and we've built on that today, finding a bit more speed but also I feel more comfortable on the bike now. We've got a little break now, but I'm looking forward to getting back here next month to get the second half of the season underway.”
