Aleix Viu was the polesitter at the Red Bull Ring as the Rookies Cup raced at the venue for the first time, and after exceeding track limits in Race 1 and being given a penalty that saw him lose the victory, has taken the win in Race 2 - ahead of Japanese rider Ayumu Suzuki by only 0.183 seconds.
Marc Garcia completed the podium in P3 for a two-thirds Spanish rostrum, the last of the lead breakaway group – who were 11 seconds ahead at the front.
After the two races at the Red Bull Ring, Sasaki remains at the top of the table in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, with a 22 point lead over Viu and 23 over Raul Fernandez, who finished in P7.
