Lorenzo trying out options on Friday

Reigning champion concentrates on setup on Day 1 at the British GP

Jorge Lorenzo (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) is looking for another win at Silverstone, to add to his three previous, and the title defender spent Friday concentrating on finding improvements in the change of direction of his Yamaha machine. Lorenzo, who ended the first day in the UK in P4, tried a new swingarm on the bike after initial testing on the modifications at the one day post-Brno official test, and hopes for more dry track time on Saturday to enable further work ahead of the race on Sunday.

Jorge Lorenzo (P4): "The bike is acting differently compared to other years, because we‘ve got the Michelin tyres and new electronics and it looks like, at this track particularly, it‘s more difficult to improve the record of the track. We are trying something to especially better the turning of the bike and we are improving it. Let‘s see what the weather is like tomorrow, if the weather is dry, maybe we can make another step forward and be ready for the race on Sunday."
