Rossi: “I don't feel comfortable”

Difficult day for the ‘Doctor’ in the #ArgentinaGP

Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) ended Day 1 of the Gran Premio Motul de la Republica Argentina in P16 on the timesheets, after a difficult day for many of the big names as the race weekend began. Rossi, who stormed back through the field from a difficult time in practice to take a podium in Qatar, found many of the previous problems that had plagued him in practices and tests were back in Argentina – so looks to work on improving the issues, and trying to get back into that all-important top ten to go through to Q2.

With weather looking like it may change overnight, all eyes in the number 46’s garage will be turned upward hoping it stays dry and allows riders to improve in FP3.

Valentino Rossi, P16: “We hoped to have a good feeling, like we had in the race with the bike, but it was more similar to what the feeling was like in the practice sessions in Qatar and in the tests. We have a lot of problems to enter the corners fast with this bike and I don't feel comfortable. I'm about one second behind, but the problem is that we are all close together and we have a lot of different riders that are very fast, so we need to improve the feeling and the setting of the bike and we hope that tomorrow morning's FP3 will be dry. We will try to improve and try to stay in the top 10 for the qualifying.”
