Nicolo Bulega (Sky Racing Team VR46) topped FP3 times at the Gran Premio Motul de la Republica Argentina, ahead of Qatar winner Joan Mir (Leopard Racing) - despite a run off track near the end of the session for the Mallorcan. Mir's compatriots Aron Canet (Estrella Galicia 0,0) and Jorge Martin (Del Conca Gresini Moto3) completed the top four – with times close at the top.
Home hero Gabriel Rodrigo (RBA BOE Racing Team) kept his name high on the timesheets in P5 despite having broken his collarbone in Qatar, with SIC58 Squadra Corse newcomer Tony Arbolino also impressing to end the session in sixth. Darryn Binder (Platinum Bay Estate), Philipp Oettl (Südmetall Schedl GP Racing), Niccolo Antonelli (Red Bull KTM Ajo), and John McPhee (British Talent Team) completed the top ten.
