Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda Team) had a good first day at the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas, locking out the top five just behind nine-time World Champion Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP). Pedrosa was a key presence at the top for much of track action, and will focus on Sectors 1 and 3 ahead of qualifying on Saturday - aiming for a good grid position at a venue that has seen him on the podium twice previously.
Dani Pedrosa, P5: "We were able to improve after the first practice session and to try some more things with the setup, and also with the tyres. We must do a good job of using the information we gathered today in order to take another step forward tomorrow. We’re especially looking to improve in the first and third sectors, and to prepare for the race as well as possible."
