Jack Miller (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS) topped the timesheets in Q1, with Jorge Lorenzo (Ducati Team) joining the Austrlian in graduating for the first time since joining the Borgo Panigale factory. Loris Baz (Reale Avintia Racing) looked set to challenge to move through, until a spectacular moment at the final corner saw the Frenchman just avoid a crash - but lost a little too much time.
