Shining the spotlight on each of its stunning destinations, the eyes of the world follow MotoGP™ from Qatar to the Americas, through Europe and Asia – with more than 90 broadcasters across the globe and millions of spectators coming to enjoy the show live and trackside. One of the next countries looking to join the calendar is Finland, eager to enjoy the incredible global exposure and economic impact of hosting the world’s fastest motorcycle racing Championship. With a long and rich history of motorsport culture and World Champions on two wheels and four, the new Kymi Ring is looking to bring the national Finnish addiction to speed even further into the limelight as it bids to make its own impact on the MotoGP™ calendar.

As well as the television coverage and the crowds sure to flock to new venues and countries, MotoGP™ social media presence also continues to flourish - providing a new kind of coverage and engagement 24 hours a day with reach across a multitude of platforms. With 12 million fans on Facebook, more than 2 million followers on Twitter and just having passed the four million mark on Instagram, MotoGP™ continues to set the standard for motorsport and two-wheeled content and reach in social media. MotoGP™ has also been awarded the Golden Play button by YouTube for over a million subscribers – the first motorsport to gain that honour – and Snapchat stories provide even more behind-the-scenes content for fans. With innovations for 2017 such as Press Conference fan questions – all broadcast and accessible on Facebook Live - the sport connects the fans and riders on a level previously unseen; something proving a favourite both in the paddock and in the fanbase.

The future for MotoGP™ is an exciting and expanding prospect as the calendar grows to cover all the points of the compass, and there has never been a better time to get involved. Finland is sure to be another showstopping venue as we prepare to visit the Kymi Ring and the engines get ready to fire up in the land of ice.
