Sunday Guide:

- Jorge Martín (Del Conca Gresini Moto3) has qualified on pole for the fourth time this season. This is the first time since Jack Miller in 2014 that a rider has qualified on pole position for three successive Moto3™ races. He will be aiming to win his first Moto3™ race, but has a penalty that will demote him 12 places.

- John McPhee (British Talent Team) qualified in second, his best qualifying result since he was on pole position in Argentina this year – and will start from pole.

- Joan Mir (Leopard Racing) qualified third, the third front row qualifying of his Moto3™ career and his best qualifying result since he qualified in second in Austin this year.

- Fourth in qualifying is Fabio Di Giannantonio (Del Conca Gresini Moto3), equalling his best result of his career (Brno 2016). With Romano Fenati, he is the only rider on the current grid who has stood on the podium previously at Mugello.

- Bulega qualified in fifth. He will be aiming the win the first race of his career. He can be the second Italian rider to win in Mugello since the introduction of the Moto3™ class in 2012.

- Fenati, who was on pole last year, has qualified in seventh - his worst qualifying result so far in 2017.

- His teammate Jules Danilo qualified in P11, his best dry-weather result since he qualified in 12th but started from 11th in Austria last year.

- Enea Bastianini (Estrella Galicia 0,0) qualified P17, his worst qualifying since Qatar this year (18th).
