Luca Marini (Sky Racing Team VR46) topped a damp Warm Up session for the intermediate class at Termas de Rio Hondo, heading the field from Pons HP 40 rider Hector Barbera in an impressive show of pace on his debut on Moto2™ machinery. His teammate Lorenzo Baldassarri sole P3 right at the end, with polesitter Xavi Vierge (Dynavolt Intact GP) in P4.
American Joe Roberts impressed once again in the wet, completing the top five for NTS RW Racing GP.
