Alex Marquez (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) topped the first session of the weekend for Moto2™ at the Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley, dueling it out for much of FP1 before emphatically taking over at the top. Sam Lowes (Swiss Innovative Investors) went P2 after a good run of pace, with fellow KTM rider Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Ajo) completing the top three.
Iker Lecuona (Swiss Innovative Investors) was one big crasher – rider ok – as was Hector Garzo (Tech 3 Racing), who is replacing the injured Remy Gardner.
