Martin quickest in Moto3™ FP1

Canet and Oettl the only other riders within half a second of the Spaniard in the morning session

Jorge Martin (Del Conca Gresini Moto3) was the fastest man in this morning’s Moto3™ FP1 session at the Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley, setting a quickest time of 1:58.078 to go 0.286 clear of second place Aron Canet (Estrella Galicia). P3 in the session was Jerez race winner Philipp Oettl (Sudmetal Schedl GP Racing), the only other rider to get within half a second of Martin this morning.

2017 Mugello race winner Andrea Migno (Angel Nieto Team Moto3) was fourth in FP1 at his home round, with fellow Italian Niccolo Antonelli (SIC58 Squadra Corse) rounding out the top five.

Tatsuki Suzuki (SIC58 Squadra Corse) was the only rider to crash during the session, he lost the front on the exit of Turn 11 – rider ok.
