Martin leads Bezzecchi into qualifying

The Spaniard was fastest in FP3 at Mugello, ahead of Italians Bezzecchi and Migno

Jorge Martin (Del Conca Gresini Moto3) continued his great weekend by going fastest in Moto3™ FP3 at the Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley. The Spaniard has been quickest in every session so far this weekend, with Championship leader Marco Bezzecchi (Redox PrustelGP) second quickest in FP3 despite crashing at the final corner mid-way through the session.

Last year’s winner Andrea Migno (Angel Nieto Team Moto3) was third quickest heading into qualifying at his home Grand Prix, with Marcos Ramirez (Bester Capital Dubai) up the sharp end again this weekend in P4. Jakub Kornfeil (Redox PrustelGP) rounded out the top five in FP3, just 0.027 behind Ramirez.

Ayumu Sasaki (Petronal Sprinta Racing) and Tatsuki Suzuki (SIC58 Squadra Corse) had a big crash at Turn 7. Sasaki was stretchered away, however they both returned to the box relatively unscathed.

Qualifying is next up for the lightweight class, can the Italians stop Martin from taking his fourth consecutive pole? Find out when they head out of track at 12:35 local time (GMT +2).
