Bagnaia fastest in FP1, Binder crashes

Championship contender back on top as Red Bull KTM Ajo's home GP starts with a small tumble for Binder and P16 for Oliveira

Francesco Bagnaia (Sky Racing Team VR46) was back on top of the timesheets in FP1 at the Austrian GP, heading friend and flatmate Lorenzo Baldassarri (Pons HP40) by just over half a tenth. Marcel Schroetter (Dynavolt Intact GP) was third quickest, ahead of Alex Marquez (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) after times tumbled throughout the session.

And as those times tumbled, so did home team Red Bull KTM Ajo's Brad Binder as the South African had a low drama tip off but then ended the session in P17 - just behind his teammate. Championship leader Miguel Oliveira was just sixteenth, and will be looking for more later if the weather holds...
