Bezzecchi sets the benchmark in damp FP3

Championship leader was nearly half a second faster than the field, with Canet and Binder P2 and P3

Marco Bezzecchi (Redox PrustelGP) set a 1:43.753 to go quickest in a damp Moto3™ FP3 session at the eyetime Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich, going 0.488 faster than second place rider Aron Canet (Estrella Galicia 0,0), with Darryn Binder (Red Bull KTM Ajo) looking very strong in the wet ahead of qualifying – the South African was third fastest.

Tony Arbolino (Marinelli Snipers Team) was fourth quickest on board his Honda machine, 0.754 off Bezzecchi’s benchmark, with Albert Arenas (Angel Nieto Team) rounding out the top five on Saturday morning.

Jaume Masia’s (Bester Capital Dubai) FP1 time means he ends Free Practice at the Austrian GP at the top of the combined times, but what will the weather bring for qualifying? Be sure to tune in at 12:35 local time (GMT +2).

Wildcard Maximillian Kofler (Motosport Kofler) crashed at Turn 1 in the session – rider ok.
