Nicolo Bulega (Sky Racing Team VR46) went quickest right at the end of FP3 for the lightweight class at the Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini, taking to the top on slicks as the track just dried out enough. Saturday dawned damp and difficult, but with no further rain conditions were steadily improving.
Philipp Oettl (Südmetall Schedl GP Racing) was second quickest and had been the first to foray out on slicks, ending the session ahead of a trio of home heroes - Tony Arbolino (Marinelli Snipers Team), Niccolo Antonelli (SIC58 Squadra Corse) and Fabio Di Giannantonio (Del Conca Gresini Moto3).
Aron Canet (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) was one crasher, going down at T1 and rider ok, but many didn't even head out - including Jorge Martin (Del Conca Gresini Moto3). For full results, click here!
