Who dares wins: the Cup goes down to the wire at Valencia

The season finale awaits and there are three riders in the fight for the Cup, with 50 points up for grabs

The inaugural season of the British Talent Cup has one more battle to fight: the season finale alongside MotoGP™ at Valencia. It’s the biggest stage of the year and with everything still to fight for, it will surely be an explosive end to 2018 as the Champion is decided and a little history made.

Rory Skinner heads into the last two races of the year with a 12-point advantage over his nearest challenger, Thomas Strudwick, so with 50 points still on the table it’s far from a done deal for the Scotsman. Everything is in play and that includes Max Cook in third; a further 17 points adrift and the last of the trio who could take the inaugural Cup. But the three aren’t racing alone – far from it – and anything could happen.

The likes of rostrum finishers Joshua Whatley and Brian Hart will be pushing hard to get back in the fight for the top three and take another podium – or two – before the end of the season, and Round 1 Race 1 superstar Fenton Seabright, after missing so much of the season through injury, will be back on track once again and could be a threat to watch. Then there’s the challenge of the track itself – and the pressure.

After the super fast circuits of Silverstone and Assen, the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia is a very different venue. The tight layout fits inside a unique amphitheater and gives the crowd a view of every corner from every seat – creating an incredible atmosphere, even more so when there’s a title on the line.

Skinner vs Strudwick vs Cook decides the outcome of the first ever British Talent Cup winner, so make sure to tune in to see another two incredible races from the season finale at Valencia. The lights go out for Race 1 at 16:15 (GMT +1) on Friday and the Cup could be decided then – but it could well go down to the wire, with the final race of the season beginning at the same time on Saturday.
