Marini leads Binder in Moto2™ Warm Up

Luca Marini looks set to repeat his Thai success from 2018 as he leads a fierce field into Moto2™ racing action

The PTT Thailand Grand Prix promises to be one of the most exciting rounds of the 2019 Moto2™ season, with plenty of big names up and down the grid ahead of the race. Wanting to make important gains to challenge for victory it was Luca Marini (SKY Racing Team VR46) who topped Moto2™ Warm Up, pipping Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Ajo) to lead the pack into the race.

Continuing strong form throughout the weekend, Luca Marini was looking in fine form at the top of the Moto2™ Warm Up timesheets. Brad Binder was flying the South African high in second place, whilst Championship leader Alex Marquez (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) was a solid third going into the race. Augusto Fernandez (FlexBox HP 40) was up in fourth but crashed at the infamous Turn 5, whilst Tetsuta Nagashima (ONEXOX TKKR SAG Team) completed the top five. Second in the standings, Jorge Navarro (Beta Tools Speed Up) was only 11th, whilst home-hero Somkiat Chantra (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia) was one place ahead and completed the top ten.
