Oliveira tops Q1, Dovizioso misses out & Marquez sets no lap

Miguel Oliveira and Franco Morbidelli were the men to progress through in a drama-filled Q1 that saw Dovi qualify 14th on the grid

Red Bull KTM Tech 3's Miguel Oliveira and Petronas Yamaha SRT's Franco Morbidelli have progressed through to Q2 at the Gran Premio Red Bull de Andalucia, as Ducati Team's Andrea Dovizioso failed to make it into the fight for pole position just six days on from finishing on the podium at the same circuit. The Italian will, therefore, start from 14th on the grid.

Repsol Honda Team's Marc Marquez exited pitlane at the start of the session but pulled straight back into failed and didn't set a lap, meaning the World Champion will line-up last on the grid for tomorrow's race if he decides to race. Just one place ahead of him will Alex Marquez after the Moto2™ World Champion crashed out unhurt at Turn 5 in the closing stages, meaning both factory Hondas will be on the final two places on the grid on Sunday.
