Martin and Zarco confirmed at Pramac Racing for 2021

Moto2™’s Jorge Martin and current Esponsorama Racing rider Zarco will line-up on factory-spec GP21s next season in MotoGP™

Pramac Racing have confirmed current Moto2™ star Jorge Martin (Red Bull KTM Ajo) and Johann Zarco (Esponsorama Racing) will race for the team in 2021.

2018 Moto3™ World Champion Martin has been rumoured for the Ducati MotoGP™ ride for months and he’ll be joining the premier class next season as one of the best riders currently competing in the intermediate class, having claimed his first Moto2™ victory in Austria this year.

Double Moto2™ World Champion Zarco has impressed on the GP19 Ducati in 2020, thus earning a factory-spec machine for 2021 with Pramac Racing. A pole position and podium at the Czech GP is the Frenchman’s stand-out performance so far on a Ducati – and he’ll be confident of challenging for the same every weekend in 2021.

Paolo Campinoti, Pramac Racing Team Owner: "We are happy to have reached the agreement with Johann and Jorge. We want to continue an important project that is giving us great satisfaction. The sporting qualities and the winning mentality of the two riders are extremely well known: expectations are therefore high. We know Johann well and we have a very positive feeling with him: the same will be with Jorge."

Claudio Domenicali, Managing Director of Ducati Motor Holding: “To be successful, it is essential to continue investing in research and development and not be afraid to innovate and renew. For this reason I am very happy with the arrival of young and talented drivers who make us look to the future with optimism and with a constant desire to improve. Jack Miller and Pecco Bagnaia this year have shown that they can harness the potential of our Desmosedici GP and have earned this opportunity. Their arrival to the official team from the Pramac Racing Team, where they have both grown up, is proof of the efficient collaboration that unites us with Paolo Campinoti’s team, whom I want to thank.

“I am convinced that next year your team will know how to exploit the talent of two new riders, Johann Zarco and Jorge Martin. That said, we are now focused on the current season because we want to achieve the best possible results with our two riders: Andrea, who in these eight years with us has been runner-up in the world three seasons in a row and has won 14 Grand Prix becoming the Ducati rider more successful after Stoner, he is still fighting for the world title. And also Danilo, who is working hard to fight for the podium again. With them we will do our best to end this beautiful adventure together in the best possible way.”
