Pol Espargaro and Zarco into Q2 as Ducati disaster continues

All four factory Desmosedicis have failed to make it out of Q1 after a late stunner from Johann Zarco dumped out Jack Miller

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's Pol Espargaro slammed in the fastest lap of the weekend so far to top Q1 and book his place in Q2 at the Liqui Moly Teruel Grand Prix, but a late stunner from Esponsorama Racing's Johann Zarco made sure all four factory Ducati machines failed to make it into the fight for pole position in a dramatic session.

As the final flying laps began, Pramac Racing's Jack Miller sat at the top of the timesheets and was seemingly trying to drag around Ducati Team's Andrea Dovizioso to try and aide his title charge. However, Miller backed out of his lap, Espargaro clinched top spot and for a split second it looked like the KTM man would be joined by brother Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing Team Gresini) before Zarco stole the final spot in Q2.

Dovizioso will line-up 17th on the grid for Sunday's main event, making it the third time this year he's started from the sixth row of the grid and making it a fifth time in 2020 the Championship challenger has failed to make it out of Q1.
