As the days tick by and the Qatar Test draws ever closer, the leading protagonists in the MotoGP™ World Championship are continuing to get as many laps in on production bikes as is possible. The latest duo on track were Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP's Maverick Viñales and Pramac Racing's Johann Zarco at the Circuito de Almeria.
Zarco was, of course, in Jerez with the rest of Ducati's 2021 line-up earlier in the month but poor weather saw them unable to properly prepare for the Qatar Test at the start of March. The weather in Almeria was much kinder, however, with the pair lapping on both Monday and Tuesday.
They weren't alone either, with Moto2™ riders Yari Montella (Speed Up Team) and Hector Garzo (FlexBox HP40) also on track as they prepare for the intermediate class heading to Doha.
