Martin and Zarco spearhead Pramac Racing's plans for 2021

The rookie Spaniard and experienced Frenchman are tasked with filling the considerable boots of Jack Miller and Francesco Bagnaia

The 2021 season is officially open for Pramac Racing, which for the twentieth consecutive year will be at the starting grid of the MotoGP World Championship.

The team's riders will be the Frenchman Johann Zarco, two-time world champion in the Moto2™ class and back from a more than convincing season on the Ducati Desmosedici GP, and the Spaniard Jorge Martìn - World Champion in the Moto3™ class - who will make his debut in the premier class of world motorcycling.

Both riders will have at their disposal the "factory" version of the Ducati Desmosedici GP.

Paolo Campinoto (CEO Pramac Racing):

"The goal for this year will be to reconfirm ourselves on very important levels after the excellent results obtained in the last Championship. 2021 will be a very important season for us, in fact, it will be the anniversary of 20 years of Pramac Racing in the MotoGP™ paddock, a goal that fills me with pride, satisfaction and happiness."

"2020 showed how hard work associated with the great professionalism of the team can repay all the efforts and sacrifices made. We are starting the season with the same enthusiasm as the last one but with two new riders in whom I strongly believe, Johann Zarco and Jorge Martìn, and with I hope we will achieve great goals."

Francesco Guidotti (Team Manager):

"We face this season with great conviction. For the first time, at least in the recent past, we will be on the starting grid with two new riders and many new faces in the team. This represents for us a fascinating challenge that we want to face with concentration, determination and enthusiasm. We are extremely convinced of the potential of Johann and Jorge and we know that they will give their best to give us great satisfaction, embodying the spirit of work and sacrifice that distinguishes Pramac Racing".

Johann Zarco:

"It's been a long winter and I can't wait to get to Qatar and start working with the Team. It's amazing how a strong feeling has already been created with Pramac Racing without having yet had the opportunity to be together, in this I find a great starting point to be able to work well from day one."

"I'm very motivated, I took advantage of the winter break to train hard, the level every year gets higher and higher and you always have to improve if you want to keep up with the others. I'll do my best knowing I've got the right stuff to take great satisfaction”

Jorge Martin:

"I am very excited and happy, this is my dream come true. I have worked hard over the years to reach this goal and I couldn't be happier to start this adventure with Pramac Racing riding a Ducati. Next week we will go to Qatar, where we will work hard from day one to try to be competitive as soon as possible”
