第７戦カタルーニャＧＰの開催地、バルセロナ-カタルーニャ・サーキットは１３日、『MotoGP™世界選手権』と『スーパーバイク世界選手権』に参戦するライダーたちにトラックを提供。気温が２６度まで上昇したドライコンディションの中、複数のライダーたちが市販車を持ち込み、全長４６５７メートルの右回りコースを周回した。
オーストリアに帰国せず、活動の拠点アンドラに滞在するジャック・ミラーは、パニガーレの新車に乗り込めば、ポル・エスパルガロはホンダＣＢＲ１０００ＲＲ、アレックス・リンスはスズキＧＳＸ－Ｒ１０００Ｒ、マーベリック・ビニャーレス、アルベルト・アレナス、ガブリエル・ロドリゴ、ジャウメ・マシアはヤマハＹＺＦ－Ｒ１を使用。
スーパーバイク世界選手権に今季参戦するイサック・ビニャーレスは、カワサキ機を使用していたが、フロントブレーキに問題が発生したため、ビニャーレスのヤマハ機に乗り換えれば、スーパースポーツ３００世界選手権に参戦するアナ・カラスコも参加した。
