The Argentine rider beat Filip Salač (CarXpert PrüstelGP) by just 0.064s, with Niccolo Antonelli (Avintia VR46 Academy) completing the top three – the Italian 0.099s adrift of P1.

After a trickier weekend than normal at Silverstone, World Championship leader Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Ajo) finished P4 on Friday morning on much more familiar territory. Fifth place went the way of Andrea Migno (Rivacold Snipers Team), the Italian three tenths away from top spot.
Petronas Sprinta Racing debutant Syarifuddin Azman crashed unhurt in the early stages of FP1 in an incident with Adrian Fernandez (Sterilgarda Max Racing Team).
