Quartararo fastest in first fully dry session of the weekend

The Yamaha man ended up a half a tenth clear of Jack Miller, with Marc Marquez three tenths adrift in third

Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP's Fabio Quartararo took top spot in a vital MotoGP™ Warm Up at the Tissot Grand Prix of Portugal. In what was the first fully dry session of the weekend, the Frenchman's 1:40.278 was 0.058 seconds clear of Ducati Lenovo Team's Jack Miller in second and three tenths ahead of Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) in third.

Aprilia Racing's Aleix Espargaro was the fastest of today's front row qualifiers in fourth, ahead of LCR Castrol Honda's Alex Marquez and fellow Aprilia man Maverick Viñales. Team Suzuki Ecstar's Joan Mir was seventh, half a second slower than Quartararo. Completing the top ten were Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), Andrea Dovizioso (WithU RNF Yamaha) and poleman Johann Zarco (Pramac Racing).

After being declared fit to ride on Sunday morning, Ducati Lenovo Team's Francesco Bagnaia was twelfth quickest, one place ahead of Championship leader, and fellow walking wounded, Enea Bastianini (Gresini Racing).
