Dixon goes quickest in dry conditions

The British rider was over a tenth clear of Fernandez as the Moto2™ class got a fully dry session under their belts

Jake Dixon (Zinia GASGAS Aspar Team) topped the opening Moto2™ session of the weekend at the CryptoDATA Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich with a 1:35.000, enough to beat World Championship leader Augusto Fernandez (Red Bull KTM Ajo) by 0.161s. Lorenzo Dalla Porta (Italtrans Racing Team) completed the top three in FP1 at the Red Bull Ring.

The track had dried after overnight and morning rain, meaning the riders were able to get a fully dry session under their belts ahead of FP2 later this afternoon. Albert Arenas (Zinia GASGAS Aspar Team) and Somkiat Chantra (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia) slotted themselves inside the top five on Friday morning.
