Second by the end of the day with a 1:38.637, only 0.002 behind Maverick Viñales (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP), the rider from Cervera is happy with how it went – and had a positive opinion the new front tyre.

Marc Marquez, P2: “I’m very happy with how the day went. We did 96 laps and didn’t even stop to eat. We had to do a lot of laps with the new exhaust to do different tests. We also tried the new Michelin front tyre, which is more like the one from last year – you can feel the bumps more but you have more grip. I like it, there are more possibilities. We’ll see if we’ll use it this year. We’ve had a lot of positives.”
