Takaaki Nakagami (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia) was the man of the morning, setting a 1’50.221 to lead Warm up by only 0.014s.
After his two crashes in Qualifying, Franco Morbidelli (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS) was on an almost brand new motorcycle, ending second.
Local rider Alex Rins (Paginas Amarillas HP 40) continued to show well and was only 0.075s off Nakagami’s best time.
Pole setter Johann Zarco (Ajo Motorsport) was fourth, again within a tenth of a second of the top.
