Pedrosa Blog: The best month for cycling lovers

In his latest boxrepsol.com blog Dani Pedrosa shares his love of the Tour de France and tells us how he stays calm before a race.

Hi everyone.

We only have one Grand Prix left before reaching the midpoint of the season. It’ll take place in Germany in almost two weeks and we’re still working hard to be in good shape for it. So I’ve spent the better part of the week training and getting ready for Sachsenring. It’s one of my favourite circuits and I’m really motivated.

I can't wait for them to get to the mountain stages...

I couldn’t wait for the Tour de France to start. It’s the best race in the entire cycling season and I really enjoy it. Besides, this year it’ll follow a spectacular route and I can’t wait for them to get to the mountain stages.

It’s always a pleasure to see a leading pack full of Spaniards able to challenge Chris Froome, a fabulous cyclist who’s good at everything whether it be time trials or mountains. Let’s see if any of us can fight for the yellow jersey in Paris this year.

The question of the week, from Manolo Huéscar (Instagram)
What do you do to de-stress before a race?

Hi Manolo,
Whenever I’m feeling more nervous than normal I try to focus on breathing better and just go along with it.
