Two days of very positive testing came to a close at the Red Bull Ring – Spielberg, Ducati more than pleased with the results. Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) finished as the second fastest rider across the two days, setting a best unofficial lap time of 1’23.680. Both days saw Dovizioso towards the top of the timesheets, the high speed Red Bull Ring suiting the Ducatis perfectly. For ‘Desmo Dovi’ it was all about gathering data and finding a setting ahead of the race in August. If the pace of the MotoGP™ World Championship stays the same over the break, it could be a very good weekend for Ducati after the break.
Andrea Dovizioso: “These were two days of very positive tests for us, we worked hard on many different aspects of the bike, as well as preparing for the race in the best possible way. Here we have been really competitive, it’s great to do two days of testing before the race because it gives you the chance of working on fine-tuning aspects and I know that we can still improve there. I am very pleased with my Desmosedici GP on this track, because we can exploit our potential to the maximum and I believe that we can be really competitive in the race.”
