Miller hoping to be back in Brno

Assen winner wanting to bounce back quickly after being declared unfit for the #AustrianGP

After the summer break, Jack Miller (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS) was finally back to full fitness after a motocross accident in pre-season had left the Aussie facing a long road to full recovery -although that didn’t stop the Queenslander taking a spectacular wet weather win in the Dutch GP. The Red Bull Ring is a venue that Miller had experience of in the IDM on much lighter machinery, and the stage was set for a good second half of the season – until a highside crash saw the Australian suffer a hairline fracture of the T6 vetebrae and a hairline fracture in the radius bone of his right wrist, ruling him out. Miller will now undergo an MRI scan and then a medical check to determine his fitness for the next race in Brno.

Jack Miller (DNS): "This is not the way I wanted to start the second half of the season but that's the way it is. It's a shame it didn't work out for me today but I'll keep giving it 100% and now I'm hoping to be fit to race in Brno next week, as I really like that track.  I banged my foot and that's a bit sore, as is my wrist and vertebrae with the small fractures but hopefully I can heal quickly."
