Isaac Viñales signs with SAG

Moto2™ rider joins Stop and Go Racing Team for 2017 and 2018

Isaac Viñales (Tech 3 Racing) has announced his future plans in the Moto2™ world championship, as the rider from Girona gets set to join Stop and Go Racing Team for the next two years. Viñales, moving from Tech 3 Racing, will be riding a Kalex chassis for the first time in the team and hopes to make some big leaps forward in the standings.

Isaac Viñales: “I am happy to communicate that the next two seasons I will join the SAG Racing Team. We will face the Moto2 World Championship with illusion and a lot of effort, both the team and me are thirsty of success and for sure that those energies will make the results to come. The SAG Racing Team works with Kalex since 2013 and I’m very motivated to ride a chassis with which I’ve never competed. The goal for the next year is to be in the top 10 and reach podiums to be clear candidates for the title in 2018.”

Edu Perales, Team Manager: “Isaac is a fast rider and eager to succeed. Our team needs that energy and gives big hopes to make this union to be fruitful. The past of Isaac in Moto3 showed his huge level and the adaptation years in Moto2 will be the key to reach great results the upcoming two seasons. We will provide Isaac the best material to make the technical stuff a solution to his needs and we will make all we can to make him feel as one more in our family.”
