Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) heads to his home track for the Gran Premio TIM di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini at Misano World Circuit Marc Simoncelli, and after another podium and a 3-point gain in the admittedly large mountain of points by which Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) leads the title fight, the battle is ready to rage again as the 9-time world champion tries to play catch up. Rossi had had a lot of home success at the track, and will be looking to keep pushing forward and eager to test his YZR-M1 against the traditionally favourable Misano circuit - in front of the sea of yellow in the grandstands.
Valentino Rossi: "Next week at Misano will be the most special weekend of the season, because Misano is “my race”, it‘s my home. Usually we are quite good there, so we hope to be competitive. There will be a great atmosphere: a lot of fans, a lot of people around and also a lot of pressure, so we have to try to give 20% more than the maximum!"
