Rabat happy with points after tough preseason

EG 0,0 Marc VDS rider took P15 in the #QatarGP

Following a tough preseason after a crash at the Sepang Test and subsequent injuries, 2014 Moto2™ World Champion Tito Rabat (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS) had a solid first race of the year at Losail International Circuit, despite the difficulties.

Starting from P19 after qualifying was cancelled and combined practice times decided the grid, the Spaniard got a good launch off the line and was happy with his race and his pace – coming home in fifteenth and ready to apply what he learnt next time out in Argentina.

Tito Rabat, P15: “It is good feeling to score a point here in difficult conditions but also after a tough preseason with my injuries. This can be a tricky circuit in any conditions but I was happy with my start and had a good pace but then mid-race two Ducatis, Barbera and Abraham, came past and it was difficult to fight with them. I learnt a lot this weekend with my team, especially that I need to be more confident to open the gas.”
